Frequently Asked Questions

Inclement Weather

  • Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather (snowstorms, hurricanes, flooding, etc.). In-person cancellations due to weather will not be rescheduled.
  • Please check your email for any cancellation notices due to severe weather advisories.
  • Phone calls will only be made to notify students who prefer phone calls over email.

Cancelled classes

  • Virtual classes will be rescheduled if possible. Rescheduled times will be at the discretion of administration and faculty members.
  • In-person classes will not be rescheduled.

Zoom classes

  • Students will be given Zoom links one week prior to classes beginning. A weekly Zoom reminder will be sent via email during the semester. 
  • Students are required to identify themselves (name) on Zoom. Phone ID’s, numbers, and other non-registered names are strictly prohibited.
  • Failure to identify will result in class removal.

Tuition

  • Tuition is paid upon registration through the website jasa.org.
  • Mail-in registrations are accepted with a personal check or money order. 
  • We do not accept cash payments for tuition.

Refunds

  • Refunds can be given at any time until the second week of classes. 
  • Refunds will be given for accepted health issues who will no longer be able to participate, such as hospitalization, chronic illness, mental health conditions, etc.
  • Refunds are not given for common colds, flu, and lifestyle missed classes.
  • Excursions are non-refundable.

Discounts

  • Discounts are available for specific advertised promotions.

Excursions

  • Travel: Debby will notify everyone if there is a change.
  • Inclement weather: Debby will notify everyone if there is a change.
  • Lunches are occasional and optional: Debby will let people know if there is a change
  • All excursions will take place regardless of weather unless the organization that is hosting it reschedules; if an excursion is cancelled because of something beyond our control (i.e., government shutdown) and a substitution is made, it is considered the excursion for the week.

Student Contact Information

  • We do not share personal contact information with instructors or other students. 
  • JASA will not sell, share, or distribute any personal or identifying information collected during the registration process.

Classroom Configuration, Cleaning, and Trash Removal

  • Students are responsible for leaving classroom seating as they received it. If desks are moved, please move them to their original position and clean up all trash or spilled items. 
  • Remember to take all your items as you vacate classrooms.

Lost and Found Policy

  • Lost and found items will be taken to the front check-in desk or taken by JASA staff to hold.
