JASANextGen Junior
JASANextGen Junior is an intergenerational volunteer program for third through fifth-grade students. NextGen Junior engages kids in intergenerational virtual game nights with JASA seniors helping to build meaningful relationships with the seniors we serve.
The program is designed to introduce the importance of volunteerism and philanthropy so that when kids graduate from NextGen Teens, they're ready to take a deep dive into raising critical funds for our programming, lead their own individualized volunteer projects, and advocate on issues relating to older adults.
There is a $250 cost to participate in JASANextGen Junior per participant. The full $250 fee represents a charitable contribution and is 100% tax deductible.
JASANextGen is a volunteer advocacy program led by the next generation to educate and advocate on issues relating to older adults. JASANextGenners join monthly meetings to learn about a range of topics from food insecurity to elder abuse, help raise critical funds for our annual JASAEats campaign, take the lead in volunteer projects, and participate in mini-internships. JASANextGen Teens (ages 12-17) have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills and learn more about different career fields while JASANextGen Young Adults (ages 18-22) focus on career development and networking.
Group Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Virtual game nights with JASA seniors
- In-person family volunteer events with JASANextGen Teens and Young Leaders
- And more!
