Conference Overview
For 20 years, the New York City Elder Justice Conference has brought together people with a shared conviction: every older adult deserves to live with dignity, safety, connection, and respect.
What began as a gathering of committed professionals has grown into New York City’s signature elder justice event—a place where advocates, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders come together to challenge assumptions, spark innovation, strengthen partnerships, and advance the movement for elder justice.
This year, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are not only honoring how far we have come we are looking boldly toward what comes next. And one of our greatest opportunities is the power of intergenerational collaboration.
Imagine what becomes possible when the energy, creativity, and fresh perspectives of younger generations come together with the wisdom, resilience, leadership, and lived experience of older adults. Across generations, we can build a stronger movement—one capable of confronting elder abuse and exploitation, challenging systemic ageism, reducing social isolation, strengthening social connection, and creating communities where people of every age are valued, heard, connected, and protected.
