Enhanced Elder Abuse 102: Becoming the Expert

Description:
This workshop will discuss signs, symptoms and potential red flags that can indicate the presence of possible abuse or exploitation. Participants will learn best practices for addressing abuse and working effectively with older adults experiencing various forms of victimization. Using a person-centered approach, this workshop will discuss strategies for protecting clients’ welfare through both a social work and legal lens. Participants will interact in collaborative small group exercises to further strengthen their learning.
